The annual Golf Day event of the Lennox Head Lions Club was a great success. Sunday 4th October was a perfect day for golf at Byron Bay Golf Club where 107 golfers enjoyed the event in support of the fund raiser. We were incredibly pleased to have several groups playing from Palm Lake and hope they enjoyed their day.
Our efforts resulted in raising a net total close to
$8,000. This was a fantastic result achieved with support by local businesses including
Palm Lake, Blaze Projects (Doug and Lesley Stinson’s son) and Paul Denmeade
Solicitors who contributed so generously despite the pandemic.
A major portion of the funds raised goes to OrangeSky who provide laundry and shower facilities for those in need. The balance will be distributed to other local charities and causes through the Lennox Lions Club Charity Funding program. OrangeSky now have a vehicle in Ballina and are looking for volunteers – they would love to hear from anyone who wishes to work with them.
